Mountains, valleys, mountain roads. The most beautiful classic cars conquer the Alps.
The Kitzbühel Alpine Rallye is one of the leading Austrian events for classic cars. From 6 to 9 June 2018, the choicest classic cars from six decades once more embark on a grand journey along the most scenic alpine routes.
For 2018, routes along the most famous Alpine mountain ranges in Tirol and Salzburg feature on the programme: Wilder Kaiser, Loferer Mountains, Hochkönig and Hohe Tauern offer the rally teams impressive views of the breathtaking Alpine world.
A detour takes the Alpenrallye into Gastein Valley for the first time, with its once world-famous fashionable health resort of Bad Gastein.
Altogether, nearly 600 km along the most scenic mountain routes of the Alps await participants - sporty (Sport Trophy) or relaxed (Classic Trophy) depending on their preference. The build year limit of 1972 ensures exclusivity in the starting field, a cross-section of the most beautiful classics from the pre-and post-war periods, includin rarities by many major brands such as Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, Ferrari, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, Aston Martin or Rolls Royce is expected.
Latest development: The Kitzbühel Alpine Rallye is getting even more exclusive. If in the past up to 200 vehicles were admitted to the start, from now on a maximum of 160 participants will be allowed. Another step towards even more quality: This will make procedures simpler, waiting times shorter and more space created at the "Parc fermé" (Hahnenkamm parking lot) for both participants and spectators.
The Kitzbühel Alpine Rallye has been regarded as one of the biggest and most renowed events for classic cars for 30 years. The magnificent backdrop of the alpine world around Kitzbühel and along the routes provides the setting for one of the finest classic car events in Europe. No wonder that the Alpine Rallye is regarded not just as a meeting point for car lovers, but is also a favourite get-together for many famous participants from racing, show business, finance and sports. An exclusive social supporting programme is as much part of the Kitzbühel Alpine Rallye as is a perct sporting milieu and the unique flair of the "Sports capital of the Alps".
