WWA Wake Park World Championships, Abu Dhabi 7th -10th of Dezember 2011
The 2011 WWA Wake Park World Championships hosted by Al Forsan International Sports Resort, is the final stop of the WWA Wake Park World Series 2011 season and the 1st “cable” wakeboard contest in the Middle-east. 150 wakeboarders of all ages will come from all over the world to compete for the championships in seventeen different divisions. These divisions range from 13 & Under Girls to Veteran's Men to the compelling, Pro Men division.
Prize Money: $50,000 USD cash paid onsite is up for grabs, with $30,000 USD allocated to this single contest and an additional $20,000 USD allocated to the World Series overall champions.
Top Athletes: The names Tom Fooshee, Fredy von Osten, Dominik Guhrs, and Daniel Grant will be heard several times throughout the 2011 Wake Park Worlds. All are explosive, fun-to-watch riders; however, it's Fooshee of the USA on top of the rankings off of a win at the last Wake Park World Series stop in Hamburg, Germany. Close behind him are the fellow German riders, Guhrs and von Osten, whom are tied. Grant of Thailand trails in fourth, but as we know from Wake Park Worlds History... anything can happen.
